Endorsement of Hey Rim Jeon - Legendary Saxophonist, Benny Golson
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Benny Golson, and I have been a performing musician, teacher, and lecturer for many years in the U.S. and Europe. During that time, I became acutely aware of varying qualities of musical disposition. Many were delightfully capable of expressing themselves on varying levels: Performing, teaching, researching, exploring, strategizing, addressing and solving problems. But then there were a surprising few who surpassed the ordinary things with almost prescient powers -- a natural gift, of course. With that in mind I'm prompted to think of the word "SUPER."
One of these gifted ones is a person named Hey Rim Jeon, a gifted pianist. I had the pleasure of meeting her and coming to know her professionally. We even worked together on a few projects. It was then that I realized that she was one of the Super ones. She has a clear and unobstructed view of things lying ahead. She has much to 'say' as she improvises, giving a manumission, freeing meaningful things, from her bountiful/copious imagination. This becomes Sine Qua Non when considering pedagogy, passing on knowledge that gives direction and insight into the deeper existing things that reaches the deepest grotto of one's heart's core, that seat of motivation.
Hey Rim is one of those gifted ones who has one foot planted in the present and the other in the future as she soars above the circle of the earth in unoccupied air-space.
One would wisely help her in any way possible as she mercifully shares vestiges of herself with 'thirsty' minds that are hungrily reaching out for enlightenment. All students aspire to move onward and upward, but they need those who can assist them in doing so in the best way possible. This is progress at it's very best.
Bless all organizations that is dedicated to this eventuality, and bless Hey Rim Jeon who is at the forefront with a brightly glowing beacon. I, therefore, heartily and without reservation, endorse Hey Rim Jeon.
